About Our Program

Are you interested in working from home, but haven't found the right
business? Whether you're an experienced travel agent or new to the
industry, Sapphire Cruises might be just what you're looking for!
While being a travel agent is an exciting and interesting career choice, our
program really comes down to one thing -- helping you learn how to make
money in the competitive market of cruise travel. If you're serious about
making a career as a travel agent, we can help. There is NO COST for our
program and it includes everything you'll need to get started.
What's required to become a Sapphire Cruises independent agent?
- Every independent agent must complete our
Sapphire Cruises Academy new agent training program. There is no cost for new agents to participate in this program.
- All agents are required to sign an independent contractor agreement with our agency.
- All agents must become Associate Members of CLIA
(Cruise Lines International Association) within their first 90 days of
the date they contract with us. The cost of membership is $99 per year.
- All agents must have either achieved ACC
(Accredited Cruise Counselor) status with CLIA when they contract with
us, or they must enroll in CLIA's ACC program within 90 days. The cost
of the ACC program is a one-time fee of $65.
- The only recurring fee that Sapphire Cruises
charges its independent agents is a $10 monthly fee to add you to
our agency accounting software. Each independent agent runs their own
branch office using our internet-based software.
